2.1 What We Provide

Sidereal Chart is a self-knowledge and personal reflection platform that:

• ✅ Generates sidereal natal charts based on actual astronomical star positions at your birth
• ✅ Provides psychological assessment frameworks from validated, public-domain instruments
• ✅ Displays your scores and charts for personal reflection and self-exploration
• ✅ Shows current astrological transits and how they relate to your natal chart
• ✅ Tracks changes over time in your assessment responses (longitudinal data)
• ✅ Enables data visualization and export so you can explore patterns in your information

2.2 What We Are NOT

Sidereal Chart does NOT provide:

• ❌ Medical, psychological, or health advice of any kind
• ❌ Diagnosis or treatment of any physical or mental health condition
• ❌ Professional counseling, therapy, or clinical services
• ❌ Predictions about your future or guarantees about outcomes
• ❌ Life coaching, career counseling, or relationship advice
• ❌ Emergency or crisis support services

2.3 Critical Disclaimers

3.1 Age Restriction

By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. If we discover that you are under 18, we will immediately terminate your account and delete your data.

3.2 Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account by providing:

• • A valid email address
• • A secure password
• • Your birth date, time (optional), and location

You agree to:

• ✅ Keep your login credentials secure
• ✅ Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• ✅ Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.3 Account Security

• • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• • You must not share your account with others
• • You must use a strong, unique password
• • We will never ask for your password via email or any other communication

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@siderealchart.com.

4.1 Billing

• • Monthly subscriptions: £8.99/month, charged automatically on your billing date
• • Lifetime access: £224 one-time payment, no recurring charges
• • Payment processing: All payments are processed securely through Stripe
• • Currency: Prices are in GBP (£); your bank may apply conversion rates for other currencies
• • Billing date: Your billing date is the date you first subscribed; renewals occur monthly on this date

4.2 Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for new Premium subscribers. Terms:

• • Trial length will be specified at sign-up (typically 7 days)
• • You will not be charged during the trial period
• • You can cancel anytime during the trial without charge
• • If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged the monthly subscription fee

4.3 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time:

• • How to cancel: Go to Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription
• • Effect: You will retain access until the end of your current billing period
• • No refunds: Cancellations do not entitle you to refunds for the current billing period
• • Reactivation: You can reactivate at any time; your data will be preserved if you return within 2 years of inactivity

4.4 No Refunds

• • We do not offer partial refunds for unused portions of subscription periods
• • If you are unsatisfied with the Service, please cancel your subscription to avoid future charges

Exception: If we terminate your account for our convenience (not for your breach), we will refund any unused portion of your subscription on a pro-rata basis.

4.5 Price Changes

• • We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days' notice
• • Notice will be provided via email and in-app notification
• • Lifetime Access users are exempt: Your price is locked forever
• • Monthly subscribers: Price changes will take effect on your next billing cycle after the notice period
• • Your options: If you do not accept the new price, you may cancel your subscription before the price change takes effect

4.6 Payment Failures

If your payment fails:

1. 1. We will attempt to charge your payment method up to 3 times over 7 days
2. 2. You will receive email notifications of failed payment attempts
3. 3. If all attempts fail, your subscription will be automatically canceled
4. 4. You will retain access until the end of your paid period
5. 5. Your data will be preserved for 2 years of inactivity (see Privacy Policy)

Update your payment method in Settings → Billing to avoid service interruption.

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Service only for:

• • Personal, non-commercial self-reflection and exploration
• • Generating charts for yourself and others (with their permission)
• • Completing assessments to understand yourself better
• • Tracking your own personal development over time

5.2 Prohibited Conduct

You must NOT:

The Service and all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to software, algorithms, text, graphics, charts, visualizations, logos, and design) are owned by Sidereal Chart and are protected by:

6.2 Your License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• • Access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes
• • Generate and export your own natal charts and assessment results
• • Share your exported charts on social media (with attribution appreciated but not required)

This license automatically terminates if you violate these Terms.

6.3 Your Content

You retain all rights to:

• • Your birth data (dates, times, locations you input)
• • Your assessment responses
• • Any journal entries or notes you create

By using the Service, you grant us a license to:

• • Store and process your data to provide the Service
• • Use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the Service (with your consent per our Privacy Policy)

We will never claim ownership of your personal data.

6.4 Assessment Instruments

The psychological assessments used in this Service are based on:

• • Public domain instruments (e.g., IPIP Big Five personality items)
• • Freely available research measures (e.g., PROMIS health assessments from NIH)
• • Original questions created by Sidereal Chart

We have documented all sources in our LICENSES.md file. We respect the intellectual property of assessment creators and comply with all licensing requirements.

6.5 Astrological Calculations

Sidereal astrological calculations are based on:

• • Public astronomical data and ephemeris tables
• • Traditional astrological techniques (in the public domain)
• • Our proprietary implementation and presentation

You may not extract our calculation algorithms or underlying code.

6.6 Trademark

"Sidereal Chart" and our logo are trademarks of Sidereal Chart. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written permission, except:

• • To refer to our Service factually (e.g., "I use Sidereal Chart")
• • To share content you've created using our Service (with attribution)

7.1 Payment Processing

We use Stripe for payment processing. When you make a purchase:

• • You are subject to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
• • We do not store your credit card information
• • Stripe may collect data necessary for payment processing and fraud prevention

7.2 Hosting and Infrastructure

We use third-party services for hosting and infrastructure:

• • Neon (database services)

7.3 External Links

8.3 Data We Generate

We generate derived data from your inputs:

• • Assessment scores and percentile rankings
• • Longitudinal trends and patterns
• • Transit correlations

This derived data is also your personal data under GDPR and subject to your rights in our Privacy Policy.

9.1 "As-Is" Service

We do not warrant that:

• • Any defects or errors will be corrected
• • The Service will be available at all times
• • Results from natal charts or assessments will be accurate or meaningful for you

9.2 No Medical or Professional Liability

By using the Service, you acknowledge that:

• • You will not rely on it for medical, psychological, or professional decisions
• • You will seek appropriate professional help when needed

11.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time:

• • How: Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
• • Effect: Your account will enter a 30-day grace period, after which all data will be permanently deleted
• • Subscriptions: Cancel your subscription first to avoid future charges; terminating your account does not automatically cancel billing
• • No refunds: You will not receive a refund for any unused portion of your subscription

11.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice or refund, if:

• • You breach these Terms
• • You engage in prohibited conduct
• • You provide false or misleading information
• • Your account is inactive for over 2 years
• • We reasonably believe your account is being used fraudulently or for illegal purposes
• • We are required to do so by law or legal process

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• • Your license to use the Service ends immediately
• • You must cease all use of the Service
• • We will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy (30-day grace period, then permanent deletion)
• • We may retain certain data as required by law (e.g., payment records for tax purposes)
• • Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (e.g., disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification) will continue to apply

11.4 No Liability for Termination

We will not be liable to you or any third party for any suspension or termination of your account, except as required by law.

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13.2 Jurisdiction

You agree that any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13.3 Informal Resolution

Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact us at legal@siderealchart.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. Please provide:

We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days of receiving your notice.

13.4 No Class Actions

You must bring any claim arising out of or related to these Terms within one (1) year after the claim arose, or the claim is permanently barred.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time for reasons including but not limited to:

14.2 Notice of Changes

15.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sidereal Chart regarding the Service, and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications.

15.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction:

• • That provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable
• • If modification is not possible, the provision will be severed
• • All other provisions will remain in full force and effect

15.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Sidereal Chart.

15.4 Assignment

• • You: You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account to any other person or entity without our prior written consent.
• • Us: We may assign or transfer these Terms and all associated rights and obligations to any person or entity at our sole discretion, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.

Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship between you and Sidereal Chart. You are an independent user of the Service.

15.6 Force Majeure

We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

15.7 Language

These Terms are written in English. Any translations are provided for convenience only. In the event of any conflict between the English version and a translation, the English version shall prevail.

Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation of these Terms.

15.9 Survival

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including but not limited to:
